Granny's Dilemma

Hello to Anyone interested in an old woman's ramblings.
I have been on this wonderful earth quite some time now and I still find people fantastic, and maybe a little crazy.
I have a person in my life that proves the point. This one person has bought a cargo van, quit his job, tried working as a contractor with freight service relocation, quit this position, selling the cargo van, sitting at home playing solitaire on the computer. Now, can anyone tell me why a 52 year old male would do this? Ok, I understand men have mid-life crisis however could he not have bought a sports car, had an affair with a younger woman? So, if this is not crazy could someone tell me what is?
Ah, but not all is lost. He does keep the house cleaned and things organized.
